Flamingo Park

WA was commissioned to provide a park-wide master plan, a new 7,000 S.F. tennis center with   17 new clay courts for the City of Miami Beach at the historic Flamingo Park.

The firm provided programming, planning, historical renovations, architectural and engineering services for the 36.53-acre park. The new tennis center has a pro shop, restrooms, and a general multi-purpose room. The master plan combined existing elements to remain as well as proposed new structures and activities area and provides for park-wide improvements to landscaping, lighting, graphics and signage, and estate fencing. Improvements to amenities such as new benches and garbage bins and other improvements to venues including a baseball diamond and softball fields, racquetball, and handball courts. Recently, WA’s scope of work was amended to include park-wide improvements associated with resiliency upgrades, principally consisting of stormwater retention and disposal system, water storage for park-wide irrigation, and photovoltaic panels to power pedestrian lighting.
