WA was commissioned to provide a park-wide master plan for the historic park, considered the jewel of the City’s public parks.
The firm provided programming, planning, historical renovations, architectural and engineering services for the 36.53-acre park. The Master Plan resulted in the creation of several “pull-out” projects, individual projects to be erected during several phases to minimize park wide impact. The implementation program has taken over 10 years.
Notable projects are a new Tennis Center with 17 clay courts, a new soccer field, park wide landscaping and hardscaping improvements, including smart lighting, complete renovations to the baseball diamond and softball field, which include sports lighting and conversion to synthetic turf.
